Nawal Kishore is a contemporary painter with nearly three decades of artistic practice, exploring colour, spirituality, memory and human experience through an expressive and evolving visual language. A B.F.A. (Topper) and M.F.A. in Painting from Lucknow University, he brings together strong academic training with an intuitive approach to contemporary expression.
Practising since 1997, Nawal Kishore has established a significant presence across India and international art platforms. His work has been exhibited at distinguished institutions including Lalit Kala Akademi, Dhoomimal Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre, AIFACS, Jahangir Art Gallery, National Museum and India Art Festival.
A notable achievement in his career is his participation in the 60th and 61st National Exhibitions of Art organised by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. His recent solo exhibitions include The Divine Encounters at Dhoomimal Art Gallery, The Divine Love at Passage Art Gallery, Myth and Memory at Anantyam Qalaa Art Gallery, Hyderabad, and The Aesthetic View at The Art Route, Gurugram.
His international exhibition journey extends across Dubai, Singapore, Italy, Nepal and Poland, alongside an extensive record of national exhibitions and art festivals.
Nawal’s paintings explore the relationship between colour, form, symbolism and consciousness. His works often create contemplative spaces where memory, emotion and spirituality converge, inviting viewers to look beyond the visible and connect with deeper layers of experience.
With a practice spanning almost three decades, Nawal Kishore continues to evolve his visual vocabulary while remaining committed to the transformative power of painting.
